What is CDPE?

CDPE stand for Certified Distressed Property Expert. When I became involved in short sales over two years ago, there were not as many as today. The real estate market had begun to decline but not nearly to the extent of today. Nor had the national economy done back flips. As both the market and the economy went into a mutual slide, our short sales and foreclosure rates began an upward climb. This is when I knew that if clients were coming to me asking for guidance, counsel and services for their distressed properties, it was my personal and professional responsibility to become as well educated and knowledgeable as possible. Helping someone navigate through the short sale or foreclosure maze with one of the biggest investments of their life is serious business. The Certified Distressed Property Expert or CDPE classes in Orlando provided an extra layer to what I had already learned through books and personal short sale “hands on” experiences.
